Media Release: Field Days entry tickets can now be purchased online!

by admin September 12, 2022
written by admin

This year the Riverland Field Days has gone to online ticketing.

The process is simple – go to the website www.riverlandfielddays.com.au  – click on ‘Buy Tickets Now’ on the home page. It takes just a few minutes and is easy to complete.

There will be no cash at the entry gates.

Pre – event tickets can still be purchased in your local community.

Ticket purchasing options are:-

  • Online,
  • EFTpos at the gates, or
  • pre event purchase at the following outlets:-
    • Barmera Visitor Centre
    • Berri Visitor Centre
    • Loxton – Totally Exposed shop
    • Renmark – Yates Menswear
    • Waikerie – McCoy Menswear

This will reduce the demand on our volunteer resources.

“We have an excellent team of volunteers” event organiser, Tim Grieger said. “As with many community groups, our volunteer resource is limited, and we seek to reduce the load where we can.”

“There are advantages for our patrons too”, Tim Grieger said. “there is no cash handling at the gates; and quicker gate entry. Scanning your ticket takes just a few seconds”, he said.

“You can have your ticket emailed to you for printing; or downloaded onto your mobile phone”. he said.

Field Days 2021

2021 Chairmans Invite

by admin March 24, 2021
written by admin

What an interesting last 12 months we all have experienced.!!

While at this stage last year we were preparing and hoping the extent of restrictions would allow us to hold an event in 2020 this unfortunately didn’t happen. For the first time in over 60 years an annual event for the Riverland Community had to be cancelled. We would like to thank those that had paid a deposit and committed themselves in such uncertainty.

This year with the release of vaccines we are feeling that this year’s event will go ahead with only some minor impositions. We are working with the SA government to run a Covid safe event.

With the lack of community events in the past year and the largest exposition in the Riverland region this will be a great opportunity to promote your business to primary producers and the general public. The Riverland region covers both dryland farming and irrigated horticulture, an area of over 3 million hectares and gives your business enormous potential to increase its sales.

I would like to draw your attention to your options for advertising in the Official Program. The Riverland Field Days produces the official program and this is distributed throughout the Riverland, Barossa, Regional SA and Sunraysia. With a production of 15000 the Official Program is also the only program handed out to patrons as they enter. For a small outlay you can reach a large number of potential customers. All details can be found in this prospectus.

I urge you to return your entry form as early as possible to ensure that your site is allocated to your satisfaction.

I now encourage you to apply for your site/s and be a part of Riverland Field Days 2021.

MEDIA RELEASE – 2020 RIVERLAND FIELD DAYS

by admin July 13, 2020
written by admin

The Riverland Field Days Committee has made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Riverland Field Days.

Considering the uncertainty and restrictions around holding large events, the continuing Coronavirus pandemic, new lock downs and closed borders, the Committee felt that this is the right decision.

“We are disappointed to have to make the decision to cancel the field days this year”, Ian Webber, Chairman, said. “We have not missed a year since the first field day in 1958. It is a major event in our region and State, and an important part of business promotion for the many exhibitors”.

“However, the health and safety of our volunteers, exhibitors and community comes first, and we don’t wish to hold an event where that could be at risk”, he said.

Many exhibitors come from interstate, and a large number of attendees come across now closed borders. Over the past few months we have been carefully monitoring the situation, working with local, State and Federal Governments, and our national peak organisation, theAAFDA.

“I want to thank the exhibitors, the volunteers, and all the groups that have supported the field days” Mr Webber said. “We will now focus on 2021 when we will be back – brighter and better on 17th and 18th September.”

Prospectus Letter

by admin April 2, 2020
written by admin

Dear Business Owner/ Manager,

The Riverland Field Days Committee is planning for the 2020 Field Days on 18th and 19th September.

We are all hopeful that the coronavirus [Covid-19] crisis will be managed well, and be under control sufficiently for us to run a successful field days event in September 2020.

We are very aware of the impact that the current situation is having on our country, many businesses, and our whole way of life. With the field days being over 5 months away it is not possible to determine what the position will be in relation to the virus at that time. The Riverland Field Days Committee will follow the advice and directions of Governments as we move through the coming months.

Exhibitors will now have the option of paying a deposit of $100.00, or the full amount, with their site application. We are encouraging you to lodge your site application early; and take advantage of the deposit system. The balance of the site fees will be payable when it becomes clear that the field days will go ahead in September 2020.

In the event that the 2020 field days are cancelled due to the coronavirus, the $100.00 deposit will be refunded to you or, at your choosing, rolled over to 2021. Exhibitors who have paid full site fees will be given the option of a refund of sites fees paid or a credit toward the 2021 field days.

We are pleased to invite your business to participate in the promotion and marketing opportunities offered by the 2020 Riverland Field Days.

The full Prospectus is available on our website www.riverlandfielddays.com.au .
The site application form is also on the website and can be submitted online.

As we progress through the coming months we will keep you informed via the website and through social media.

Your inquiries are welcome by email, from the website, or contacting me on 0409 099 122.

Field Days 2019

Volunteer team come together

by admin October 21, 2019
written by admin

The Field Days volunteer team from across the region comes together this weekend for the preparation and setting up of the site for the 62nd Riverland Field Days, in just a few weeks time.

“The volunteer team is the foundation of the field days event”, Tim Grieger, event organiser, said. “it is the dedication and enthusiasm of this special team that brings the excellent  business promotion and marketing expo to the region each year” he said.

The Riverland Field Days is a huge boost to the region’s economy; and is a major part of the promotion and marketing strategy for the many businesses that participate.

“We are also seeing more community organisations using the field days to connect with the broader community and promote their activities” Tim Grieger said.

There is an air of anticipation as the team comes together each year. It is also an enjoyable social time, as stories are exchanged during morning tea and the bbq lunch.

35th National Ulysses AGM and Rally

by admin May 13, 2018
written by admin

This was held at the Riverland Exhibition Centre from 7th to 13th May 2018.

Some 2000 Ulyssians camped at the Centre and many more in hotels, motels, caravan parks and other accommodation venues around the region.

At times there were up to 2000 motor bikes, camper trailers, caravans and motor homes at the Centre during the week. The large circus style tent providing an amazing spectacle.

Many members commented that the Riverland Exhibition Centre was one of the best venues yet for their annual rally – and the Riverland region one of the friendliest.
